Free Screenings and Workshops: Saturday 9th March 

We're delighted to offer free screenings and workshops throughout Saturday 9th March. Workshop places must be booked in advance, and children must be accompanied by an adult. All screenings and workshops will be in Augustine House.

A selection of the best films suited for our younger animation fans. Most of these films will also be shown in the shortlist screening

Shortlist + Awards 

A screening of the shortlisted films followed by the awards ceremony

No need to book, just come along and enjoy the films

Design a Minion: Saturday 9th March 10am and 2pm (Room: AH3.31) 

How do animators communicate the personalities of their most popular cartoon characters? This workshop will give you the chance to discuss elements of character design, and then put your ideas into practice by designing and drawing your own minion character.

The workshops are run by Dr. Christopher Holliday from Kings College University.

Suitable for children aged 5 - 11 years. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The workshop is free but booking is essential as space is limited.

The workshop will run at 10am - 11am and 2pm - 3pm

Create your own Stop Motion: Saturday 9th March 11:30am (Room: AH3.31) 

Have fun and be creative! Children of all ages are invited to join us for a couple of hours of creativity. Design, draw, make and model sets and characters. Then make a stop motion animation with your creations.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The workshop is free but booking is essential as space is limited.

The workshop will run from 11:30am - 1:30pm

Other free child friendly activities will be available in the atrium of Augustine House outside of the main hall throughout the day.
