Phill Jupitus

An Evening of Comedy and Cartoons

This sessions is sponsored by

We are proud to welcome back one of the biggest names in British comedy, Phill Jupitus, to headline this year’s Anifest. The evening, which Phill describes as a ‘night in with the telly’ will be a hilarious opportunity to see Phill on stage talking about his favourite cartoons. During the set, which Phill has designed especially for Anifest, he will talk about the visual jokes, dialogue and performances
which make these classic cartoons so funny.

Phill is an English stand-up and improvised comedian, performance poet, musician and podcaster. Phill has been a team captain on BBC Two’s popular music quiz ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ since its inception in 1996 and also appears regularly as a guest on several other panel shows, including ‘QI’ and BBC Radio 4′s ‘I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue’. The shortening of his first name to ‘Phill’ arose due to his mother’s reminders that the name ‘Phillip’ is spelled with two ‘L’s, something he carried over to the shorter form.

We are also pleased to announce that Emma Kennedy will be returning to join Phill Jupitus on stage once again this year.

There will be an alcohol licensed bar open during this event only.
