Film and Animation Competition
Canterbury Anifest is committed to showcasing the best new animation from across the country and bringing the animation community of the region together in Canterbury. The festival takes place on 9th October 2010. All directors whose films are chosen for competition will be invited to the competition screening on the day of the festival along with a guest.

Awards and Prizes
- Grand Prize- Award for the best film and film making course
- Runner-up- Award for Second placed film with prize
- Audience Selection Award- Award won on the day, as chosen by the audience attending the festival
- South-East Animation Category
- Smallfilms Award- Award for the best animated short animated and directed by person/s 17 years of age and under.
Sub-award Categories
- Creative Design- Award for the best original design in an animated short
- Creative Soundtrack- Award for the best consideration of sound design within an animated short
- Technical achievement- Award for the most technically accomplished animated short
Entrants are asked to read theĀ terms and conditions of entry carefully before submitting their film, which can be found on the entry form

Mascot Design Competition
We are looking for a brand new mascot to represent the festival. This is where you come in!
Canterbury Anifest are really interested in seeing how you imagine our festival Mascot, and if you win your design will feature in all of the festivals programmes.
